Our Activated carbon products are made from selected shells of coconut to ensure the highest quality during the manufacturing process. By maintaining high quality control standards, the customer is able to achieve high adsorption of their molecular impurities. Coconut carbon is especially effective in removing trace organic compounds such as pesticides.

VCAN ACTIVE CARBON has the capability to carefully control carbon properties, such as particle size distribution, as required for this application. Our products have the following advantages over many other types of carbon:

High hardness levels and low dust levels. This improves material handling characteristics and is especially important where carbon fines cannot be tolerated.High surface area, up to 1400 m2/g. The quality of the product is rigorously monitored right from the procurement of raw material. The quality of raw material is one of the factors that determines consistency of activation. Our lab works round the clock to continuously monitor and record the product quality in its various stages.

We also believe that the selection of the right equipment is also a criteria to determine quality. Post activation processing is done in SWECO screener. The conveying system has been modified to ensure that the product is not crushed while conveying, thus eliminating formation of fines. Packing is done by an semi-automated weigh silo.
