Applications

Cellzyme 90L is suitable for biofinishing (i.e. softening, surface fiber removal, depilling) of various types of cellulosic fabrics and garments. Biopolishing can be arranged either before or after dying, depending on the desired effects.

Typical biopolishing conditions,

Equipment overflow, winch, jet dying machines or laundry washer.

Dosage 0.3-2.0% o.w.f

Liquor ratio 1:5 – 1:20

pH 4.5 – 5.5

TMP 45 - 60°C

Treatment time 30 - 60 mins.

Enzyme Inactivation

All cellulase enzymes should be inactivated after the desired effect is obtained. Insufficient inactivation can result in extended exposure of the garment or fabric to active cellulase. This unintended exposure can cause undesirable strength loss.

Cellzyme 90L can be inactived by one of the following procedures.

l hold the bath at pH≥10 for 10 minutes. Sodium carbonate is recommended for pH adjustment

l hold the temperature ≥ 70°C for 10 minutes.

Standard packaging is 30kg or 200kg drum

Storage

To ensure extend shelf life, store Cellzyme 90L at 25°Cor below in a sealed container. Exposure of this product to elevated temperatures for prolonged periods of time may result in loss of activity.

Safety Enzyme Handing

Inhalation of enzyme dust and mists should be avoided. In case of contact with skin or eyes, promptly rinse with water for at least 15 minutes.
