How to choose CFL( energy saving bulb)

1.Lumens tell you how much light the bulb provides

2.Watts tell you how much electricity it uses

3.Both are listed on the package. Look for us with comparable lumens to the bulb you are replacing. Manufacturers suggest replacing a 60w incandescent with a 13 to 15w CFL, a 4:1 ratio

4.It has a ‘K’ figure listed on the packaging. CFLs with “K” letter between 2700~3000 give off a soft bright light like incandescent. CFLs with “K” letter between 3500~6000 give off a bright light. As you go up the “K” letter scale the light gets bluish and closer to daylight
