VIETNAM CASHEW KERNELS WITH TESTA (HUSK)

1. Introduction

Vietwoodee JSC is big company, can do cashew kernels with testa (cashew kernels with husk) at big quantity and quality

Not roasted ones but well dried cashew nut kernels with testae (mesocarp), after shelling without peeling, with natural fine color of testa, and kernels inner testae have a uniform color which may be white, light yellow or pale ivory. Checking quality shall be after peeling.

2. Specification:

1. Moisture: 3~5% (as determined by the AOAC reference method)
2. Free from cashew nut shell liquid; Completely free from living insects, moulds, rodent contamination and insects damage, decay, foreign matter (visible to the naked eye or visible through magnification in necessary cases). Having natural smell, and should be free from rancid smell or any other unfavoured smell.
3. DEFECTS: Serious pitted sports & speckled, immature, serious scorching, total Maximum level is 5.0%
4. Breakage/pieces (%): less than 3%
5. Size: 620~900 nut count per kilo.
6. Acid value (Account by fat, KOH): no more than 3mg/g,
7. Peroxide value: no more than 0.08g/100g.
8. Aflatoxin B1: less than 5μg /kg (5 p.p.b.)
11. Plumbum less than 0.2 mg/kg
12. NO residue of BHC, DDT or Organophosphorus Pesticide. Packing: In new, clean, dry vacuum plastic bags, 20 kgs per bag then in firm corrugated carton (5 layers).Cartons must be a minimum of 200-pound test, 32 ECT. Packaging shall be of sufficient strength to assure the integrity of the product during normal shipment and storage.
