The pad contains water and food grade polymer (a form of salt) and a stainless steel disc.

Just put them in the microwave in seconds and under the right construction and it will give instant heat from 50C-57C.

3.How long does the heat last?

The pad will be very hot for the first 30 minutes and then will gradually cool down.
