DTSY540 series three phase prepaid electronic meter, briefly named as three-phase intelligent card watt-hour meter, is used for measuring three-phase AC active energy with rated frequency of 50Hz or 60hz to realize using electric power after prepayment. The product adopts IC card (named as smart card) and advanced micro-electronic technique to collect, process and memorize data. Its technical performances are complying with the requirements of national standards of GB/T18460.3 and IEC61036. It has strong function of preventing the meter from decoding, compatibility as well as features of small size, weight light and high reliability.

Working principle:
1. Both-way electric energy metering: provides precise positive-negative active energy metering and one-way accumulating; used for power metering and advance purchase of AC single-phase current rated
2. Advance purchase quantity, preset maximum load-limit and IC card password; IC card transfers data and realizes data including total consumption, remaining quantity, accumulated quantity and total purchases) backward reading
3. Storage of leave-factory serial number, meter constants, initial data and the user's name and address
4. Alarm and switch off when overload; alarm at low remaining power to remind user of timely purchasing

Main Features

1. Purchase energy power first,then can use it.

2.LCD display remaining electric energy quantity and accumulative total power consumption.

3. Power-off alarm: When the remain value less than 10kW·h(can be set) meter will shut down the power. Insert user card to resume power supply.

4. Overload alarm: When the user average power exceeds the preset value for more than

one minute, the electricity meter will automatically shut down power supply.

It will resume power supply automatically 5 minutes later or insert any card.

5.Strongly encryption: By using the encryption card and dynamic encryption algorithm,

system data can not be decrypted.

6. Magnetic latching relay: Using highpower magnetic latching relay, low power consumption

and high reliability.

Working principles

The meter collects voltage signals from the potentiometer. The current signals collected from the shunt to get multiplying signals through multiplication device, and after frequency converting, get counting pulses, which is in direct ratio with the product of voltage and current.

The counting pulses of electric energy will be sent to CPU for processing through electro-coupling, and be stored in nonvolatile EEPROM after operation. These pulses and information from IC card that been stored with some volume of electricity and data of supervisory demands will be processed by micro processing system in the meter then provide signals of display, warning and cutting-off state etc.

Installation

The meter must be connected according to connection diagram curve in the meter. It is required to tighten the screws and well connect the conducting plate in the terminal block. For CT operated meter, the actual volume of electric energy shall be the reading indicated by the meter multiplying the CT ratio.
