Based on the imported VM diesel engine technology from Italy, VM R425DOHC engine is developed and manufactured to have high pressure common rail turbo-charged intercooler diesel engine, after adopted these technologies, its liter capacity can be 42 KW\L which is in the leading position in diesel engine. The dual overhead camshaft ,16V, turbo-charged intercooler, Bosch electronic injection high pressure common rail system make the max.torque reach to 340NM\2000RPM,which can make the vehicle with good acceleration and operation.

The engine possesses huge power and good economical efficiency, the fuel consumption for 100km is only 7L (constant velocity in 60km), and the min.fuel consumption which is measured by actual is 210g/(kw.h). R425DOHC engine adopts dual mass flywheels and dual balance shafts, these endows the engine with the merits of low vibration and noise.
