MECHAN ENT Plasma Ablation System

1. Clinical applications:

Be applicable for treatment of polypus, hyperplasia, hypertrophy, bleeding, inflammation, erosion and so on in throat (tonsil, soft palate, tongue base) and nose.
By reducing turbinate volume, channeling pharynx and palate, channeling or cutting tonsil and uvula, the obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (snoring) can be treated.
In addition, it can also treat nosebleed, rhinopolypus, irritability rhinitis, vocal cords nodule and polypus etc.

2. New concepts on ENT (ear, nose and throat) treatment:

1). Plasma Ablation under mucous membrane: To effectively protect the mucous membrane, keep the intrinsic physiological protective screen and prevent the intrinsic immunity being damaged.

2). Minor injury from heat because of plasma working temperature being between 45 and 70 degree.

3). Bipolar or multi polar functions: small sphere to be functioned, slight hurt to be caused and quick recovery to be realized.

4). Sound hemostasia effect.

5). Real time plasma ablation to be realized, thus the plump organizations can get bounce back instantly during operation.

6). Suitable for out-patient operation, thus patients don not need hospital care. After operation, there are little bleeding, light edema phenomena, minor pain and no need to fill up the nasal cavity.

7). Little pain: Most of patients can only feel the probe contact but without sense of pain. Diet will also not be influenced.

3. Functions:

1). Bipolar and multi-polar surgery: low temperature ablation, excision, hemostasis and coagulation with minor injury. Be safe and reliable.

2). Two cutting modes and one mode of hemostasia, coagulation and ablation;

3). Many types of treatment probes are optional: According to different locations of diseases and different disease types, the corresponding probe types with suitable length, thickness, radian and energy grade are provided;

4). Start-up mode: Double footswitch or hand switch are available, used for PLA-CUT (excision) and PLA-COAG (coagulation) working modules, and matching with the main machine, treatment handle and probes;

5). The volume of host machine can be adjusted;

6). Protection Warning with audio and optical alarm: Technology of impedance detection and automatic inspection of power is used. The warning light shall start in case of any unbalance found. And a monitoring system for injury from heat is equipped, thus realizing real-time inspection and feedback to the treatment degree that the doctor sets up.
