JM sereis magnetostrictive level and position sensor

General Description:

Shanghai utmost's JM magnetorstrictive linear (level) and position sensor are manufactured by high performance material and auto calibration equipment. The JM series is a highly price-performance product which has absorbed the advantages of similar products and reaches international criteria.

Principles:

A trigle coil preriodically sends short duration current pulsed sown the waveguide. When the magnetic field accompanying the current pulsed intersects the magnetic field of the movable ring, magnetostriction causes a momentary torional strain in the wire.This strain travels back down the wire and is converted back to an electrical pulse("stop")pulse in the head. By measuring the time difference between in start and stop pulses, the position of th magnet ring can be precisely determined.
