The BNWAS should be operational whenever the vessel is underway at sea. The task of the system is to monitor automatically bridge activities and detect Officer of the Watch (OOW) incapacitate. If the OOW not press the reset button, the system will alert the master or other qualifierd navigation officers.

A further purpose of this system is the possibility to call for immediate assistance by press the

EmergencyCall button if required.

BNWAS conforms to the Resolution MSG.128 (75) on Performance Standards for Bridge Navigational watch alarm system. The environment clause is comply with the CCS Rules for the Classification of Sea-going Steel Ship(2009). This system is suitable for all kinds ships.
