C9 petroleum resin used in Coating production

Character:

C9 petroleum resin is a petroleum by-product of pyrolysis C9 fraction which is produced by pre-treatment, polymerization and distillation processes. It is not a high polymer but a low polymer molecular weight between 300-3000. It has the characteristics of low acid value, good miscibility,

water,ethanol and chemical resistance, the chemical stability against acid, the good adjustment

of viscosity and thermal stability. Generally, 9 petroleum resin is not used alone, but as promoters,

regulators, modifiers used with other resin.

Application

(1). Printing ink production: It can be dissolved in hydrocarbon resin, it owns high soft point and stable performance, so it can be used in ink.
(2). Rubber treatment: Used as adhesion booster.
(3). Adhesive production: Used in adhesive, especially for melting glue and pressure-sensitive glue.
(4).Coating production: Used in paint and reinforced latex coating, also applied in oil soluble coating.
(5). Paper making industry: Used in paper sizing agent.
(6). Other application; Used as oil field water treatment agent & slurry additives, pitch modified agentagent.
