Differences between waxwork and silicone sculptures

Material used:

Silicone: also known as silica gel or silica, we see many examples of silicone in our everyday life. Modes for baking, rubber wrist band and so on. This is an special material we use to make our figures look alive. We combine our special techniques with highly controlled temperatures and environmental conditions to provide a close-to-human-skin type of silicone material, and this is used on shown areas such as head, face or hands.

Fiberglass: also know as glass fiber, it is a strong non-metal material that we use for clothes covered areas. After we formed up our mud draft and wax draft, we finalise our figures in this material ensures the figure to stay strong and prevent it from break.

Resin: this is the material we use to ensure the clothes covered area have supports. To prevent the body from breaking, resin played an essential role.

Wax: We first use mud draft to carve facial expressions, then to mode a wax draft to smoothen the facial area in order to show all the small details such as veins, pimples, wrinkles and so on. Wax is an important material we use to ensure the figure has a ultimate facial similarity.
