A.CUTTING

Cutting by laser can be a great way of creating pieces for prototypes or models. Sometimes creating really small pieces by hand or creating identical shapes can be tough, and if you model is big enough those imperceptible error will accumulate as you build it until the point when some pieces might just not fit at all. Remember that the laser will “burn” the material, leaving a dark edge on the pieces. It’s important to remember this detail so that you can predict how it will aesthetically affect your final product and either think a way to hide it or even better, take advantage of it!

Remember that the laser will burn the surface of the material, so the final color of the engraved area will depend on the kind of wood acrylic/metal/leather that’s used, but will always be darker than the original
