1.Properties

Calcium chloride, CaCl2, is a salt of calcium and chlorine. It behaves as a typical ionichalide, and is solid at room temperature. Common applications include brine for refrigeration plants, ice and dust control on roads, and desiccation.

3.Usage

1) Granular anhydrous calcium chloride can be used as drying agent for drying nitrogen, oxygen, hydrogen, and sulfur dioxide gases.

2) Anhydrous calcium chloride also can be used as dehydrating agent in producing alcohol, ester, ether and propylene resin.

3) It is also a good anti-freeze agent and agglomerating agent in construction for concrete hardening and cold hardiness of sand mortar.

4) It's very important raw materials for de-ink of waste paper and calcium salt.

5 It's also used as antifogging agent in harbors, dust collection agent of road surface, fire-proofing agent of fabrics, protective agent and fining agent of aluminum and magnesium metallurgy, precipitant for lake pigments, etc.

6) Used as a preservative agent for food and anti-rot material for wheat, apples and vegetables.

7) Food Additive Calcium Chloride can be used as Stabilizer, Coagulator, Nutrition Enhancer, Thickener and etc.

4.Storage

Calcium chloride must be kept in tightly sealed, air-tight containers.

5.Warning

Calcium chloride's toxicity is very low as an additive to foods and other items. However, concentrated calcium chloride may result in ulcers or gastrointestinal upset. Exposure to eyes or skin can irritate or possibly burn. The inhaled dust of calcium chloride may aggravate the upper respiratory tract. Use safety eyewear, gloves and protective clothing when using calcium chloride in industrial applications. In some cases, a particulate respirator may be recommended.

7. Payment terms
