History Our sake brewery started out in the Keicho era (1596-1615) as Aburaya Chobei, an oil business refining the rapeseed of the Yamato Plain. We now trade under the name Yucho. In the 4th year of Kyoho (1719), production was shifted to sake brewing, a business we have been committed to for the past 300 years since. The current Brew master is Chobei Yamamoto.
