Selectivity

This flotation reagent is more selective against iron sulfides in alkaline circuit usually than the corresponding xanthates. It displays weak collective power to pyrite in alkaline circuit.It is generally more selective than xanthates in preventing the flotation of iron sulfidesIt is fast and compared to other thiol collectors more selective.

It is an effective collector for copper ,zinc sulfide ,gold ,silver ore, and, platinum ores.. Mining chemical -Sodium diisobutyl dithiophosphatecan also be used for the recovery of refractory gold if sulphides grades are too low to make autoclaving economical.Sodium diisobutyl dithiophosphate is recommended for copper ores, copper-molybdenum ores, and poly-metallic ores if pH control and depressants are used.

Dosage

The dosage of Flotation collector Sodium diisobutyl dithiophosphate is usually considerably less than for other sulphide collectors.

It varies with the type of ore, usually falling in the range of 10 to 50 grams per metric ton ore.

pH

1. Experience has shown that Flotation collector Sodium diisobutyl dithiophosphateis effective in the pH range of 4 to 12.

2. Because of its selectivity towards pyrite, Flotation collector Florrea 2214can be used at slightly lower pH than xanthates

3. An advantage of this mining reagent in comparison to xanthates is its application in acid pH ranges. Its stability is much higher, particularly in the region of pH 4.

Safety and Handling:

Florrea mining collector (Sodium diisobutyl dithiophosphate) is manufactured under carefully controlled conditions. However, to varying degrees they can be considered harmful and therefore before handling this product always carefully read and understand the MSDS for this product.This flotation collector causes irritation to eyes and skin.Safe handling includes the use of safety glasses , natural rubber gloves and protective clothing.

Storage:

Environmental impact

Florrea flotation collector is biodegradable. The majority of the collector is tied up with the concentrate and is destroyed in the subsequent processing operations. The remainder is transferred to the tailings . Release into the water systems should be avoided.
