FLOTATION MACHINE

INTRODUCTION:

The flotation machine is the latest design to use the circular tank concept, and combines the benefits of circular cells with the unique features of the minerals mechanism to create the ideal conditions to maximize floatation performance for all roughing, cleaning and scavenging duties. The machine can be used to separate nonferrous metal, ferrous metal, noble metal, nonmetallic mine, chemical material and recycle mine. It features high inhalation and low power. Each chute can inhale gas, sink magma and separate - there is no need for accessory equipments. It is easy to change the flow chart. The cycling way of magma is very reasonable and it can reduce the impurities to a great extent. There is automatic equipment on the magma surface. The machine is easy to adjust; the upward one makes the magma cycle upward and the downward one makes the magma cycle downward.

SF AUTO-AIR-SUCTION FLOTATION MACHINE

SF Type Flotation Machine is a new flotation device with dual functions of pulp suction and flotation. New structure of impeller is employed in model SF ,which is backwards inclined double impeller equipped with honeycomb duct and dummy bottom. Therefore, the slurry in the tank will cycle upward and downward in a fixed flow manner, which is helpful to the suspension of those coarse particles. Air and slurry are naturally sucked without foam pump. STRUCTURE & WORKING PROCESS

SF Type Flotation Machine is mainly composed of trough, spindle unit with impellers, electric machine, scraper, gearing, etc. For those with capacities over 10m3, nozzle and false bottom are equipped. This type of flotation machine boasts reasonable structure, reliable operation and better performance as compared with other flotation machine with pulp suction capacity.

When SF Type Flotation Machine is operating, electric machine drives the spindle through V-belt and rotates the impeller in the lower part. The main features of this flotation machine mainly focus in impeller. Impeller is equipped with reclined double faced blades. Thus, when the pulp dual cycle impeller within the trough is rotating, under the action of upper and lower impellers (main and auxiliary impellers), pulp within the upper and lower impeller cavities is threw to the four sides by centrifugal force and zones of negative pressure are formed in upper and lower impeller cavities. Meanwhile, pulp in the upper part of cover board is absorbed into impeller cavity through circulation ports on the cover board, which forms upwards circulation of pulp.

Since the specific gravity of pulp thrown out from the lower impeller cavity is greater than that of ternary compound thrown out by the upper impeller, the centrifugal force is increased accordingly, the vacuum degree inside the upper impeller cavity is hereby improved, which plays the role of auxiliary air auction. When lower impellers are throwing pulp to four sides, pulp in the lower part would supplement to the central and form the upwards circulation of pulp. Via air suction pipe and central pipe, air is absorbed to upper impeller cavity and combines with the absorbed pulp and

a great quantity of fine bubbles are formed. After the flow is stabilized by cover board, bubbles are evenly diffused in the trough and form armored bubbles. Armored bubbles float upwards to the foam layer and turn to foam products after passing scraper.

ADVANTAGES

1.Large air suction amount and little energy consumption;

2.With the capacities of auto air suction and auto pulp suction; horizontal configuration; requiring no foam pump;

3.Low peripheral speed of impellers; long service life of easily wore parts; large gap between impellers and covers; increased gap between impellers and covers due to abrasion has little effect to the air suction amount;

4. Pulp within the trough carries out upwards and downwards circulation according to fixed direction flow, which is beneficial for the suspension of fine and raw mineral.
