Our concept

It is well known that shortage of the water resources has been

becoming more and more serious everyday on the earth.

And it seems that the conventional water treatment technology

will not cope with an increase in the amount of load of the wastewater

on the environment in the future.

Under the circumstances, ALPHA TECHNICAL RESEARCH CO., LTD. have

made great efforts in research and development holding a concept

of solution of the water problem and have succeeded in producing

a new type of ionizing water purification system.

Effects

Applying direct current voltage to electrodes of the system in electrolyte aqueous solution produces the following effects;

[Flocculation]

Flowing weak current between the electrodes in the wastewater makes

pollutants (suspending in the wastewater and repelling one another)

electrically neutralize to bring out their mutual adsorption and

flocculation, which results in rapid growth of floccules.

[Floating separation]

Pressurizing the wastewater generates fine bubbles and makes the

bubbles stick to the surface of the floccules, which promotes

floating separation of the floccules.

[Oxidization and Reduction]

Electrolysis of the wastewater leads to oxidative decomposition

of negatively charged pollutants on the surface of the positive

electrode and reductive decomposition of positively charged

pollutants on the surface of the negative electrode, which

results in decrease in values of COD, BOD, etc.

[Removal of Oil particles]

Electrolysis of the wastewater makes oil particles (being negatively

charged and having a small diameter of 10 to 10000 angstrom

in general) electrically neutralize to bring out their mutual

adsorption and growth in size, which enables their segregation

from the wastewater.

[Removal of Nitrogen]

Common ammonia nitrogen is decomposed with the following reaction;

[Removal of Phosphorus]

Phosphate ions react with the electrode comprised of aluminum or

iron and are removed from the wastewater in the form of floating

separation of phosphates as follows;

Consumption of flocculant is rather low compared with the chemical

Operation in low voltage as well as low current makes the running

cost hold low and brings you easy maintenance.

[Strong sterilization]

Oxygen generated in the wastewater greatly contributes to

sterilization of bacteria and Escherichia coli.

[Easy operation]

The electrodes are comprised of insoluble special material and

have a long lifetime. And a special coated film on the electrodes

prevents any substances from fixing to the electrodes, which

brings you stable and easy operation.
