The thermal insulation jacket/blanket/cover is used especially on industrial applications, e.g. plastic (extrusion, injection, blow moulding) industries, construction, etc. It can be customized according to customer requirement, e.g. the design of the applied products. It is very flexible to use and easy to install.

The insulation jacket offers a cost efficient solution which can save energy consumption to 30%. And it can lower the temperature of the products which can prevent operators from burning or scalding.

The removable thermal insulation jackets (covers) can be fabricated in many different ways depending on the materials used, the application and the customer requirements. Usually, The removable thermal insulation jacket consists of surface layer, insulation layer, and liner and/or anti-abrasion layer inside. Seams are sewn with high temperature threads, usually with Kevlar TM, PTFE coated glass fiber or stainless steel thread to suit application.

The service temperature depend upon the different materials used, the highest temperature is 1200(C).

Where can it be applied?

It is mainly applied for injection molding machines, extrusion machines and molds & dies. It can also be used in heat preservation and insulation on pipes, elbows, flanges, tees, chemical reactors, turbine suits of both thermal powers and nuclear powers, as well as the gas turbine suits, the heat exchangers and the exhaust pipe of engines.

What materials does it mainly comprise?

It is made of glass fiber and high temperature resistance silicon cloth. The jacket comprises three layers- inner, insulation and protective layers. The working temperature can be up to 650°C. It has advantages in excellent insulation, water and oil proofing, multi-layer protection, anti corrosion, easy to clean, easy to bend, pollution free and neat out looking.

What impact does it have on plastic products?

The quality of the plastic products will be more stable and optimized, as the plastic particles would not have significant changes in temperature.

How long can you recover the cost?

With 20% energy-saving rate, it will take 4 to 5 months to recover the cost. The higher the rate is, the less time it takes.

What information is needed for quotation request?

1) Type of the heaters, e.g. ceramic, mica, aluminum etc. (the thickness of the heaters differs)

2) The size of the heaters (internal diameter, outer diameter and width, etc.)

3) Type of terminal and the terminal size & location (e.g. terminal box, plug)

4) Location and diameter of the thermocouple holes

5) Order quantities.

* Drawings and pictures of the heaters are highly desired for accuracy.
