SINOY Silver mirror glass is produced by coating a silver film, a copper film and two layers of waterproof paint on the back of flat and parallel float glass, is also called silver mirror, silver coated mirror, silver coated mirror glass, clear mirror glass.

New product "Eco-silver Mirror" has already come onto the market, which use non-copper film process and two layers of water proof paint. It prevents heavy metal contamination with copper and lead by using non-lead materials. Eco-silver mirror is also called as ecological mirror, copper free mirror, copper and lead free mirror, green mirror, environmental-friendly mirror, eco-friendly mirror. Because of using non-lead and non-copper materials, Eco-silver mirror can be used more years, because the copper content in silver mirror will accelerate the mirror to be eroded.

2, Aluminum Mirror-Mirrors from aluminum coated float glass

SINOY Aluminum mirror, is produced through vacuum coating, I. E. let the melt aluminum splash on the clear float glass surface in the vacuum chamber, and then coated with two layers of protective paint. Quality mirrors are coated with double paint.

Aluminum mirror is copper free, can be a variation version of ecological mirror, will not cause heavy metal contamination during usage.

This kind of aluminum mirror, quality is good enough for normal application, but cost is much lower than those of silver mirror

Q: What is the difference between silver mirror and aluminium mirror ?

Silver Mirror is much more expensive than aluminium mirror, because silver is more expensive than aluminium.

TECHNOLOGY

The process to make silver mirror is a chemical change(silver mirror reaction), while it's a physical change to produce aluminium mirror.

PERFORMANCE

Silver Mirror is water-proof, better acid-resistant, but aluminium mirror can not be used longer in humid surroundings, and it's acid-resistance is not good.
The image from silver mirror is a little reddish, because silver mirror contains copper content, but the image from aluminium more clear and original.

APPLICATIONS

Aluminium mirror is usually used for furniture, cosmetic mirrors, chemical apparatus or any places that requires original images. While silver mirror has more widely used, like bathroom mirrors, safety backed mirror, finished mirror with different edge workings, etc.

WORKING LIFE:

Silver mirror can be use longer than aluminium mirror. Usually silver mirror can be used 8 or more years, but aluminium mirror is about 5-7 years.
