Field of Application

.Used to fix natural stones, which thickness is less than 20mm when fixed on wall

·Used to fix natural stones both on inside and outside walls and floors

·Stone fixed on wall higher than 3.5m suggested to be fix with mechanical anchor together

·Used for fixing tiles in dry and damp area

Consumption

7~10 kg/m2, dependant on the stone types and adhesive density

Application properties

1) Water addition: 0.23 liter/kg powder (9.2 liter /40kg)

Add water to the mix until you have an adhesive the same consistency as peanut butter.

2) Joint thickness: 5-7mm

3) Adjust time: 10-15 min

4) Pot life: 4 hours

Substrate requirement

The substrate should be hard, sound, dry, flat, clean and durable

Substrate preparation

Substrate should be flat ,hard, level, dry, and clean with normal absorption Clean the surface until free of grease, dust or any stainsOld paint or plaster should be removed Substrate been repaired should be preserved at least 48 hours

Mixing:

Using a mechanical mixer, add 25kg Shunan glass block mortar to 5.75 litres clean water while mixing. Mix well to a creamy, lump-free consistency. Let the mix stand for 3 - 5 minutes before stirring again. Use within 5-6 hours (20°C).

Processing:

1. Apply the mix to the surface using a notched trowel for tiles, the mix can be applied in bed thicknesses between 5 - 7mm, coverage is approximately 5 -10kg/m2, actual coverages will be determined by site conditions, workmanship, etc)

2. Apply only as much adhesive as can be tiled in 10-15 minutes to prevent the adhesive from “skinning” before the tiles are applied

3. Bed tiles firmly using a rubber mallet. When tiling exterior walls ensure the tiles is in full contact with the adhesive. Occasionally, life a block to ensure that there are no air pockets. Never fix tiles using the ‘spot’ method.
