yokohama fenders are a leading anti-collision device for marine application in the world today. This yokohama fenders are made of synthetic-cord-reinforced rubber sheet with compressed air inside to enable it to float on the water and work as a protective medium. Therefore, yokohama fenders serves as a critical protective medium against collision when ship-to-ship (STS) transfer operations and ship-to-dock (STD) berthing and mooring operations.

Winton yokohama fenders have the advantages of massive energy absorption with low unit surface pressure acted upon the ship. So yokohama fenders has become

an ideal ship protection medium used extensively by large tankers, LPG vessels, ocean platforms, bulk carriers and floating structures, large docks, harbor and wharfs.

<1>Inner rubber

The inner rubber seals pressurised air inside the fender. It is usually constructed of a compound similar

to that of an inner tube in a truck or car tyre to ensure a good level of air tightness.

<2>Reinforced tyre cord

Synthetic tyre-cord layers have proven to be the best option for strong, efficient reinforcement for

pneumatic rubber fenders. Each layer is coated with a rubber compound on both sides that prevents

contact between the layers, reducing friction and wear during bending, compression and stretching

<3>Outer rubber

The tough abrasion resistant outer rubber is designed to protect the inner rubber and tyre-cord layers

from damaging external forces. The material has mechanical properties to withstand the arduous

operational conditions for which it is designed.
