Compare to normal Retroreflictive type photoelectric sensor,it has the advantage as follows:

1.As it is the gather ray,it will have a light spot on the detect object,so the detect object can be smaller.but the normal diffuse type photoelectric sensr,it is the spread of light,it can't detect the smaller object.
