Plastic Sheet Extrusion ProcessPlastic pellets are fed into the barrel of the extruder and conveyed by the screw, the heaters which are outside of the barrel of the extruder as well as the friction from the rotation of the screw melt the plastic pellets into a sheet mold and then placed on a three-roll calender, the produced sheet goes through the bottom and middle roll,wrapping around back of the middle roll and then back to the top roll or other methods as shown in sheet calender picture, these rolls are helpful to take the heat out of the sheet, after the sheet comes off the roll,it moves down the conveyor to the end of sheet line where the edge trimmer cuts the sheet to width as well as a sheet shear cutter to length.

2. Extruder screw and barrel are made of high quality special alloy steel. This is a universal screw designed to achieve flexibility for extrusion of materials like PS,PP. The barrier screw enables improvement in plastification,mixing and productivity.

3. Coat-hanger die uses double throttling design to make sheet thickness accurate.

4. Temperature can be precisely controlled within ±1 °C

5. Three-roll calender: horizontal, vertical or tilted arrangement, adjustable roll gap

6. Precisely manufactured rollers, hardened and mirror finished surface for suiperier surface properties and excellent thickness control. Independent roller temperature control system is able to make sheet thickness uniformity.

7. Winder is equipped with high quality torque motor,it can adjust rewinding speed and tension.

8. This sheet production line has automatic meter counter to set the length of sheet.

9. Plastic sheets produced from this type of extrusion equipment are sturdy,yet remains somewhat flexible.Versatile and reliable downstream equipment.
